Anchor Cottage is a traditional fisherman’s cottage in ancient Downalong, the heart of old St Ives. It is within a stone’s throw of three magnificent beaches – Porthmeor, Harbour and Porthgwidden. Set back from the road in a quiet terrace along a small cobbled cul-de-sac, it is also only a few minutes walk from the Tate Gallery and the shops and restaurants in Fore Street. It is just opposite Norway Stores, which is open every day from early in the morning till late at night. Anchor Cottage is cosy and comfortable and is ideal for a family with small children. Downstairs, the spacious kitchen has a large table that seats six people, cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The sitting room has two sofas, television, dvd player and a wide range of books and games. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a bunk bed room and a tiny room (known as The Cabin) under the eaves with a single bed but not much headroom. Perfect for a small person. The bathroom has a bath, basin and toilet. There are storage heaters which keep the cottage snug in winter and there is also a gas effect stove in the sitting room for additional warmth.
The cottage is privately let.
